Welcome to Romana's Cakery! As experts in the dessert industry, we understand the importance of providing accurate sizing information and addressing any questions you may have. In this section, we will provide you with a comprehensive sizing chart for our desserts and answer some frequently asked questions to ensure you have all the information you need before making a purchase.

All of our goodies are made in house, by hand. Due to the customisable & perishable nature of our products, we cannot be responsible for how they are transported and stored once they leave our hands. We do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind.

We understand plans change and are willing to accommodate changes to your order. However please note as changes require administration, there is a $20 admin fee for changes. 

CANCELLATIONS MADE WITHIN 72 HOURS OF THE ORDER DATE: NO REFUND OR CREDIT.

CANCELLATIONS MADE 5 DAYS OR MORE BEFORE THE ORDER DATE ARE ENTITLED TO A 75% REFUND. 25% IS RETAINED TO COVER ADMINISTRATIVE AND PRODUCTION COSTS. ALL REFUNDS OR CREDITS ARE AT OUR DISCRETION

REFUNDS

IF YOU'RE UNSATISFIED WITH YOUR ORDER, PLEASE CONTACT US WITHIN 24-48 HOURS OF YOUR EVENT, PROVIDING A DETAILED EXPLANATION AND SUPPORTING EVIDENCE. REFUNDS ARE EVALUATED ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS. PLEASE NOTE:

  • NO REFUNDS FOR PERSONAL TASTE PREFERENCES.
  • RETURN OF THE UNEATEN PORTION IS REQUIRED FOR ASSESSMENT.
  • A 25% NON-REFUNDABLE FEE APPLIES TO INITIATED ORDERS. THE REMAINING BALANCE MAY BE REFUNDED AS STORE CREDIT OR BANK TRANSFER.
  • NO REFUNDS FOR CAKES THAT HAVE BEEN FULLY CONSUMED.

ONCE YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN PICKED UP OR HANDED OVER FOR DELIVERY, WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY. PLEASE ADDRESS ANY ISSUES AT THE TIME OF COLLECTION. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY REFUND REQUESTS FOR DESIGN ONCE THE CAKE HAS LEFT THE PREMISES.

Are your desserts suitable for special dietary needs?

Yes, at Romana's Cakery, we understand the importance of catering to various dietary restrictions. We offer options for gluten-free, egg-free, Our desserts are carefully crafted to ensure they are both delicious and suitable for your diet.

OUR CAKES CONTAIN DAIRY, EGGS, AND GLUTEN. OUR CAKES ARE HALAL FRIENDLY.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT CURRENTLY OFFER DAIRY-FREE, OR VEGAN CAKE OPTIONS. WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE!

WE ARE UNABLE TO GUARANTEE THAT OUR PRODUCTS WILL BE 100% FREE OF NUTS AND SOY PRODUCTS.

Where are you based?

We are based at 42 Holly Street, Avondale. We operate on a appointment only basis. WE ARE NOT A STOREFRONT.

CAKE COLLECTION TIMES ARE: 9AM-4PM TUESDAY - FRIDAY & 9AM - 11AM SATURDAY.

DELIVERY TIMES ARE: 9AM-12PM TUESDAY TO SATURDAY. We are not able to guarantee the time of arrival. However, if you do have delivery placement instructions such as where to leave the cake, please write that in the ‘Special Instructions’ text box. We cannot accept any responsibility after it has been left at the premises.

Can I customise the decorations or flavors of your desserts?

Currently, we offer a variety of pre-designed desserts with specific flavors and decorations. However, if you have any special requests or customisation needs, please reach out to our customer support team, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences.

How far in advance should I place my order?

To ensure we can fulfill your order and have it ready for pick up on time, we recommend placing your order at least 4 days in advance. However, for larger or more complex orders, it is advisable to place your order even earlier (2-3 weeks) to allow us ample time to prepare and create your desired desserts.

Are you Halal?

Yes, we are Halal. As we are a Muslim family business, we ensure all of the ingredients used are Halal and are from trusted sources 

How should I store my cake?

Upon receiving the cake, please use an air-conditioned car and we recommend placing the car in the passenger floor or boot of the car while driving.

Place cake in a cool-dry area or place in fridge until 2-3 hours before serving which will allow the cake to come to room temperature.  

To maintain the freshness and quality of our desserts, we recommend storing them in a cool and dry place. If you are not planning to consume them immediately, you can refrigerate them as directed on the box of your cake. Please refer to the packaging for specific storage instructions for each dessert.

ALWAYS CARRY YOUR CAKE BOX FROM THE BOTTOM AND KEEP IT LEVEL. STORE LEFTOVERS IN AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER IN THE FIRDGE FOR UP TO 5 DAYS, OR FREEZE FOR 2 MONTHS.
